The Disability Navigator Program |

The Disability Program Navigator is a three year demonstration project
which is jointly funded by the Department of Labor and the Social
Security Administration. There are 15 Disability Program Navigators
within the One-Stop Career Centers across the state who provide
employment, outreach, education, support services to individuals with
disabilities. |

VETS program provides dedicated Veterans’ Services staff within each
One Stop Career Center to ensure that the veteran customers receive

WIA
Title I Adult and Dislocated Worker Employment and Training Services |
|
The Workforce
Investment Act provides training and employment services to job
seekers at One-Stop Career Centers for disadvantaged adults and for
workers permanently separated from employment due to individual
layoffs, mass layoffs or plant closings. |

Work
Opportunity Tax (WOTC) and Welfare-to-Work Tax (WTW) |
|
The WOTC
provides an employer with a tax credit of up to $2,400 for each new
hire that falls within the specified targeted groups identified within
WOTC regulations. The WTW Tax Credit provides employers with a credit
for up to $8,500 for each new hire that is a member of a family that
has received Temporary Assistance For Dependent Children TAFDC for
at least 18 consecutive months ending on the date of hire. |

grant funds to Massachusetts employers to upgrade the skills of their

The Youth with Disabilities Program |
|
The Youth with Disabilities program a five-year demonstration grant
that focuses on services for youth with disabilities as their
transition from school to work. This grant has established a new
cross-agency, state-level council that has representation by from all
organizations that serve youth with disabilities between the ages of
16 and 24. The primary objective of this grant is to improve
employment outcomes for youth with disabilities and to develop a
resource mapping plan at the state and local level. |
